When a Government publishes a Bill it is expected to have assessed its impact and for their work to be scrutinised in Parliament.
The Home Office is so badly broken it failed to publish its assessment of its (currently unlawful) plans on time and only aired the dire findings of their own analysts this week.
Shipping asylum seekers to Rwanda is capped at 1,000 max per year, would cost hundreds of millions and no plane may yet get off the ground.
Taxpayers are paying through the nose for this eye watering failure from the Home Office who treat the public as stupid. They think headlines will convince people they’re acting – not solutions or dealing with the problem.
I asked the Minister whether the rising costs and epic failure of the Home Office sums up nearly the wider incompetence at the heart of this sinking regime.
