Across the constituency, the police have been overstretched and under-resourced for years. Since 2010 the Tories (helped by Lib Dems in Coalition) cut over 400 Southwark police officers and PCSOs. Some are being returned but I am pushing for greater powers to tackle the issues that affect so many local people.

Council officers, the police, local neighbours and I all agreed some actions last week that I hope help and I’ll be keeping tabs on delivery with the hope that people feel better about their community.
