The Department of Education claims not to have the figures for how much their change to Pupil Premium will cost schools, but this is simply avoiding the reality of their cut. Here in Southwark our schools are set to lose over £1.2 million and six schools lose over £35,000 each.
I have written to the Education Secretary along with other MPs in Southwark and the council leader to ask for a guarantee that school budgets won’t be cut and to reconsider this this harmful change of policy after our schools and children have been through so much over the last year.
