This Government is once again trying to deceive British people. Johnson and Gove have failed to get a deal so they talk about an ‘Australia style’ deal. This is thinly veiled no deal nonsense and covers just 2% of UK exports, compared to 43% with the EU.

Southwark businesses tell me they’re fed up with uncertainty, delay and confusion from Government and are desperate for a deal. I asked why people face losing their jobs today just because Gove and Johnson aren’t up to theirs.

In the same session it was highlighted by Tory and others that farmers, truckers, finance and banking representatives are all calling for a deal and the former PM Theresa May also highlighted the risks to our national security of Johnson’s dangerous, irresponsible approach.
