The Government is ending the ban on evictions introduced due to Covid and is axing furlough and other support for people in work. This will cause a huge rise in homelessness. Current Covid regulations could prevent charities helping homeless people as I have been discussing with dozens of organisations in the sector. Today I asked if the Government will find alternative accommodation or change the regulations again. I hope Ministers will meet with the sector to resolve this horrific situation.
