It was a pleasure to host the Colombian ambassador to the UK in Parliament today on United Nations Day. There is a strong connection between our two countries here in Southwark centred around the vibrant and thriving Colombian community living, working and contributing at the Elephant and Castle. We discussed how we can help the community here in the UK as well as issues affecting local people who have family in Colombia, including those affected by the crisis in neighbouring Venezuela. I try to represent our whole diverse local community and look forward to further work together.
