I was supposed to ask a question at Prime Minister’s Questions today. I was going to ask about the appalling treatment by the Home Office of a local woman who has lived and worked in Southwark since 1972 but was recently told she does not have the right to stay. This Government’s treatment of thousands of people like her is shabby and damages our country and international standing.
Johnson has suspended Parliament, a move which today was ruled illegal by the Scottish Court of Appeal. I was one of the petitioners of the case and hope it is upheld next week. Johnson has lied his way to the top and has now lied to the Queen to try and prevent the people’s democratic representatives even scrutinising his Government and their grubby actions.
