Nexus Health Group runs 8 GP practices in Southwark but has been placed in special measures by the Care Quality Commission after recent inspections which found it was providing ‘inadequate’ healthcare. Nexus practices have an estimated 74,000 patients from the local community and, very worryingly, some aspects were found to be so unsafe that they were in breach of the law.

Although some improvements have been made, Nexus is still rated ‘inadequate’. This isn’t good enough. Our community deserves better. I’ve asked Nexus and the local Clinical Commissioning Group for answers and for action to address their poorly rated services.
